Edelmiro Escamilla
Dr. Edelmiro F. Escamilla has been an Assistant Professor since he joined Texas A&M University in 2011. He teaches in the Department of Construction Science which is located within the College of Architecture. Dr. Escamilla’s areas of teaching include a number of subjects for both undergraduate and graduate courses that include: construction project management, materials and methods, construction graphics, and construction operations. His background includes 12 years of extensive experience in the Engineering and Design Services Department where he served as a project manager/architectural designer on a variety of renovation and new construction higher education projects. Dr. Escamilla is currently a member and previously served as the president of the Professional Hispanic Network (PHN). He is also a member of the Mexican American Latino Faculty Association (MALFA), a member of the Texas A&M Hispanic Network (TAMHN, a fellow of the Center for Heritage Conservation, and a fellow of the Center for Housing and Urban Development. Dr. Escamilla’s research interests include transformative capacity building for the global workforce, project management, facility management, and historical preservation.
