Daniel Groves
Daniel Groves is the Director of Operations and workforce consultant for the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT), an international organization of about sixty national and global companies representing nearly $200 billion in annual construction spending.After graduating from Asbury University in Kentucky with a degree in accounting and business management, Daniel began his career with a law firm in Lexington focusing on corporate and estate taxation and planning.In 1999, Daniel became the Chief of Staff to a United States Congressman after managing his successful campaign in 1998. In 2003, Daniel managed Congressman Ernie Fletcher’s successful campaign for Governor winning back the seat for the party for the first time in nearly 40 years. Daniel then served as the Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Governor until leaving in 2005 to begin a consulting practice.In 2007, Daniel began working with CURT on urgent workforce related issues. In this role he served the CURT Workforce Committee, the CURT Tripartite Initiative and worked with the Business Roundtable on the Gulf Coast Workforce Development Initiative. These efforts include the development of a national marketing program for craft labor and the development of the national craft labor supply and demand forecasting model (the Construction Labor Market Analyzer®). In March 2010, Daniel was named by ENR Magazine as a global Top 25 Newsmaker for his work in developing and launching this first-ever comprehensive, real-time labor forecasting model in the United States.Daniel resides in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife and two young sons.
