Firestopping 101 with STI Firestop [1]
STI Firestop is hosting a one-hour seminar that will cover the key points of firestopping [8] on Dec. 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM EST. The safety seminar encompasses the basics of life safety and code-compliant design for firestopping installation. It further covers major issues in design, including the coordination of various trades responsible for firestopping [8].
Additionally, a UL system approach for firestopping [9]mechanical, sprinkler, electrical, plumbing and data cabling penetrations is taught, as is firestopping for joint construction and curtain walls.
Lastly, the seminar explains how design is affected by firestopping [9]code requirements.
