Despite heat and humidity followed by a deluge of strong rain and wind, the 2021 Houston United Tool and Fastener One-Day Sale on Sept. 28 was an exciting, successful event.
New eventgoers, as well as regular customers, braved stormy weather to take advantage of the best prices of 2021 on their favorite products and brands in addition to entertainment and food.
This year, 10 vendors were on hand at the Houston sale to showcase the best deals of 2021 and demonstrate the newest products to customers.
UTF had prepared well in advance of the forecasted stormy weather, which arrived as eventgoers were enjoying fajitas from Fajita Pete’s, with two giant tents and several smaller tents to unite the large ones.
“Customers have come to really look forward and anticipate our One-Day Sales. The savings at the sale makes it possible for them to stock up on items they are going to buy anyway,” UTF President, Bobby Williams, said.
Representatives from DeWalt, Southwire, Protective Industrial Products (PIP), MetalTech, Werner, KNAACK, Igloo Coolers, Motorola, Stabila, and Century Wire energized and engaged with customers via demonstrations, giveaways, and networking.
In addition to its vast array of products on display and reps demonstrating the newest tools, DeWalt brought its race car for car enthusiasts to enjoy and take pictures with. Meanwhile, Werner reps put UTF sales newcomer, Hope Tribout, through a safety presentation utilizing Werner safety harnesses.
Other vendors gave out hats, shirts or stress-buster objects.
Stabila reps showcased the strength of their levels by throwing them on the ground or simply letting the levels fall.
“This was my first time here (at the UTF Houston One-Day Sale),” one customer said. “I’m taking advantage of all the deals on Stabila,” which was a newcomer to the sale.
Other product browsers were long-time customers.
“We come every year. It’s always a good time.”
