Firefighters Test DeWalt FLEXVOLT 60V MAX* Chainsaw

Members of the Pasadena Volunteer Fire Department put the FLEXVOLT 60V MAX* Chainsaw to the ultimate test at an emergency scenario rehearsal on various cars and materials with exceptional results. The fire department wanted to experience and test the strength, durability, and power of the tool firsthand in real-life emergency scenarios.

The FLEXVOLT 60V MAX* Chainsaw features tool-free chain tensioning and a combination tooled/tool-less bar retention knob to enable proper bar-clamping force. It also features a high-efficiency brushless motor to help maximize run time and motor life and auto-oiling for continuous lubrication.

“The ease of use with these tools was impeccable,” explained Volunteer Pasadena Fire Department Chief, Justin Cox.

“Having the ability to hop off of a truck and grab a battery-powered tool, with significant power and battery life, will enable us to gain access or complete jobs faster and more efficiently on the fire ground.”

The FLEXVOLT 60V MAX* Chainsaw kit includes a FLEXVOLT 20V/60V MAX* battery that powers 60V MAX* tools or it can be backwards compatible to work with 20V MAX* tools.
