AGC Houston 2018 Master Builder Award Goes to Pete Dawson

At the recent Apex Awards black tie dinner hosted by the AGC Houston Chapter, one of my architecture school classmates, Pete Dawson, AIA, was awarded the 2018 Master Builder Award for his work in the creation of a number of new and renovated facilities for Texas Children’s Hospital and Methodist Hospital. He served Texas Children’s Hospital as Sr. Vice President, Facilities Services for 17 years until he retired earlier this year.

He was recognized for his outstanding support of and dedication to the Houston commercial construction industry and joins other notables like S. I. Morris, FAIA, Walter P. Moore, Jr. Phd, Dr. Richard Wainerdi, Pat Kiley, Archibishop Emeritus Joeseph Fiorenza, Ed Wulfe, William Diagneau, The Honorable Robert Lanier, former Mayor of Houston, Leo Linbeck, Jr and Paul Bell, Jr.

Dawson also serves on the board of the Construction Career Collaborative or C3.

Congratulations Pete. Well deserved.
