2020 One-Day Sales Full of Energy

The United Tool and Fastener annual One-Day Sales in Houston, San Antonio, and College Station were full of excitement and energy despite 2020’s pandemic setting. The sales on Oct. 1, Oct. 8, and Oct. 15, respectively, were Covid-regulation full of people eager to get outside, see demonstrations of the latest products, and take advantage of great product pricing.

With a Covid-19 pandemic still causing disruptions to daily life, changes to the annual sale event were necessary to remain in compliance with all local safety and hygiene protocols. However, the unbeatable prices, products and service customers expect remained.

“Although masks were mandatory for everyone while on-site and social distancing enforced, this was our best event so far,” United Tool and Fastener President and owner, Bobby Williams, explained.

“People were really excited to get out, see the DeWalt race car and chainsaw woodworking artist, Della Meredith, talk to the DeWalt executives who were on hand, and seize all the amazing deals.”

There was limited showroom access, and all vendors were spaced farther apart to take into account necessary social distancing. Customers enjoyed beautiful weather while observing the function’s special events, speaking with vendor representatives, testing out products, and partaking in a delicious lunch while talking with old and new friends.

Vendors that took part in the sales included DeWalt, PIP, Werner Ladders, Werner Fall Protection, Knaack, Metaltech, Southwire, Radians, and Milwaukee. Unistrut sponsored lunch.

In Houston, car enthusiasts young and old enjoyed perusing the DeWalt race car while browsing vendor inventory and demonstrations. Near the DeWalt race car was chainsaw woodworking artist, Della Meredith, who first showed off her skills at the 2019 sale. In 2019, she crafted a unique piece of Astros artwork, and this year she created a one-of-a-kind United Tool and Fastener sign.

DeWalt executives who visited the Houston sale and gave interviews included:

“This year’s event was very special and unique in part due to the Covid epidemic and having 5 DeWalt executives come to visit and engage with customers in addition to the exclusive artwork that Della Meredith crafted for UTF,” Williams said.

“We’re lucky to have the support of such great customers which enable UTF to continue offering the best products and prices.”
