S&P Receives Design Honor at SMPS Houston Awards Gala

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. (S&P) announced last week that they took third-place honors in the website category at the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Houston 17th Annual Design Awards Gala held recently at Hotel Alden in downtown Houston.  They provided the following information about the event.

Houston’s Architectural/Engineering/Construction marketing elite enjoyed an evening of celebration and awards for Houston’s most creative and effective marketing materials. The SMPS Houston “Celebrating Creativity, Honoring Excellence” 2011 Design Awards Gala recognized excellence by marketing professionals in nine categories of exemplary work.

S&P’s new website,
designed by Arnold & Langrand, incorporated numerous brief video clips to ensure that the site is more than simply a static online brochure. The videos cycle randomly to give each page a fresh look. In addition, an especially important website feature is an interactive tool that allows subcontractors to view S&P’s upcoming bid opportunities and register to receive invitations to bid on projects.

Entrants in the website category were judged on site design and appearance as well as a narrative describing the company’s marketing objectives, target audience, research and planning, and results. This was S&P’s first time to enter the design awards competition.

Representing S&P at the awards gala were Marketing Director Lisa Ruth, Marketing Manager Debbie Moore (pictured), and Business Development Manager Connie Warner.
