The Oculus Soars at the World Trade Center in New York City

On March 3, 2016, The Port Authority of New York opened the new transportation hub at the World Trade Center to the public and to the 100,000 riders who use the center daily. The structure, named the "Oculus” is a soaring tribute to the tragedy of 911 and serves as a gateway, transportation, and activity hub at the World Trade Center.

Built by Skanska and the Port Authority of New York, the form of the structure represents movement and stands in stark contrast to the tall buildings that surround it.

You can read more about this landmark building in our previous post and in a post on the Skanska site.
