AGC in Austin to Honor Companies with Outstanding Construction Awards

Some of the incredible work of construction firms in Central Texas will be recognized this week at the Outstanding Construction Awards ceremony held by the Austin Chapter of the Associated General Contractors.

"Every year the Austin AGC host the Outstanding Construction Awards competition," the AGC said to its members in an email. "Projects are judged on difficulty in construction resulting from design, location, materials, etc.; unusual construction techniques involved; final appearance and quality of the finished product; and timeliness of completion," the group said.

"Many great projects were submitted this year and the competition was tough, but only one project could be selected to win each category," AGC said.

Some of the honorees include Rizzo Construction, Inc. for the Shell Retail Building in Georgetown, Austin Canyon Corporation for the Oakland Avenue Offices project, Rogers-O'Brien Construction Company for their work on Peterson Health - Hospice & Home Care, The Beck Group for Willow Hall at Texas State University in Round Rock, Hensel Phelps Construction Co. for The University of Texas at Austin Engineering Education and Research Center.
